Daniel Matheny is a husband to his better half Heather, father of 2, full-time founder & head coach at Matheny Endurance, and a life-long athlete based in Colorado Springs, CO.
Aspiring to live each day to its fullest while personally challenging himself in athletic and life endeavors is the name of the game.
His philosophy of engaging in the process and showing up each day has led to some notable & versatile accomplishments including 2x mtb national champ in Marathon XCM and 24 hour (nearly 4x with a podium in XCO and Silver in XCM), Leadville Silver Rush winner & LT100 "big buckler" in 7:24, Steamboat Stinger (now Emerald Mtn Epic) winner, top 10 finisher at Breck Epic and Dirty Kanza and mtb enduros, 5th overall GC in UCI Road Stage race in Mallorca, and even a marathon finisher in 3:13. Besides just results, it's all about keeping the adventure going like double summiting Pikes Peak and Mtn Evans in a day by bike in a 227-mile ride, tackling the 52 mile & 13k ft Taiwan KOM from sea level up and down, etc.
