Charlie was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, CO and transitioned from a competitive Freestyle skier to Ski Mountaineering and Trail Running after college. Finding success over long duration and distance, Charlie prefers the technical and steep but will settle for anything in the mountains. Three kids, a career, and a beautiful wife keep him busy during the daylight hours so you can find Charlie on the trails with a headlamp and a pocket of Honey Stinger long before the sun comes up.
